How it works

How Tapeline scores stocks

Every stock we track gets a score from 0 to 100. It looks at things like the price trend, company numbers and insider buying, and shows you the main reasons for each score.

For every stock

What you see

The scoreA number from 0 to 100.
A score levelThe score in words, like High or Below average.
The reasonsWhat is pushing the score up or down, in plain words.
How completeHow many of the six checks had data for that stock.

How complete matters. Not every stock has company numbers or recent insider filings. When few of the six checks had data, the score has less behind it.

A score usually changes about once a day. Prices are delayed about 15 minutes.
